Aviation - Wombat Gully

What a great interest aviation has been, best has been the people I’ve met, many of whom are life-long friends.

I’ve been privileged to see Australia from ‘above’, almost every nook and granny, to fly around South-East Asia, Europe, USA and Central America.  It has married well with an interest in aerial photography, enabling many hundreds of thousands of pictures of our Planet’s amazing landscapes.

Equipped with a Commercial Pilot Licence, multi-engine endorsements and a Command Instrument Rating, every journey has been exciting and fun and it never ceases.

Some voluntary activities have included a stint as Treasurer and VP of Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA), a founder and President of Australian Mooney Pilots Association (AMPA) and VP of Aviation Safety Foundation Australia (now Flight Safety Foundation).

Biggest thrills ?  Maybe aerobatics,  flying the Mark IX Spitfire, going to new places and meeting new people.

It has been, and continues to be, an amazing and exciting experience. Every flight is a thrill but one day there will only be the memories.  And skillions of these there will be !.
